I spied this turtle duo beneath hibiscus flowers off the boardwalks at Huntley Meadows earlier this year. This painting is among the first artworks created in this series. Before I knew what this series would blossom into, I was making small watercolor and acrylic paintings that illustrate playful view of nature. In time, the views became zoomed in to the nature studies that you see in this collection. “Turtle at the Marsh” is a zoomed out view of what this series is: moments of color and light that spark calm and contentment.
