This work is a personal favorite from my Summer of making! This image comes from a view in my neighborhood of Belle View, Virginia. It illustrates the brightness of color and growth that we witness through the hot Summer months. With hints of purples and reds alongside a spectrum of greens, I tried to convey the immense color in an ordinary view. Much of what we see in Summer may appear, at first, to be just green. If you look a little longer - the full spectrum of colors will appear. Even without a flower or bird, each view is a sight to behold. We scan through Summer fields for something interesting. But each field of green is truly extraordinary.
